Thankful for a visit from my cute granddaughters (3&1) and their cute but very tired parents.
Grateful to have us all together last night as we are up in Boston visiting D20. My heart is full!
Grateful for all the farmers market vendors who showed up on this first very cold morning - and I’m grateful to be able to support them and get some really nice produce and products at good prices!
We went to Farmer’s Market today too. I’m so grateful for that local gem. Usually we just buy produce, but today we bought some frozen lamb too. I’m trying to eat more veggies, less meat… hopefully over time making it more locally-sourced meat.
Today I am grateful for spending time with S, helping him blow out his gutters & clean up the leaves in his yard. We finally got to see the pictures from his trip out west, and it was obvious that he truly enjoyed that trip. It was just nice to be with him.
Enjoyed a great day with youngest and his wife today, doing chores, winterizing, chatting, both light and in depth, visiting with neighbors, eating, grocery shopping for “our” upcoming holiday, and playing games.
Some days I really wish would never end - or could be saved in a bottle.
Have had a lovely staycation with H and our two adult offspring in Waikiki. Tonight, to cap it off, we walked down to a very nice, elegant hotel and had a joint birthday dinner for our two kids. It was perfect!
Love this thread idea!!
Grateful for the right to vote (I occasionally remind my daughter that this was not a right we had in the US just a few generations prior!).
Also grateful for the beautiful weather and gorgeous trees in my area right now!
Grateful for the uplifting people in the world. Congrats to Courage and Civility award recipient, Dolly Parton.
Today I am thankful for a visit from our wonderful D & her own silly, fun D. GD entertained us for the afternoon, and it was lovely.
I’m grateful for good samaritans. Posting last night about our car break down brought back a good memory. While we were dealing with contacting tow trucks, friends, dealers, H was also starving and we were 5 miles from the nearest town. A woman stopped to see if we needed help and offered to drive H & younger S to town to get food and wait for our friends (who were also amazing driving 100 miles each way from their beach house to get them), while older S and I waited for the tow truck. Not only did she do that, she brought me & older S back food. She was so nice, and wouldn’t accept any money. I wonder where she is today. I hope she is doing well.
I’m grateful for all the ways we have to communicate these days and the ability to get/keep a window into the daily lives of our friends and family. Texting is especially great - the ability to share a moment or ask a quick question without calling is a wonderful thing for this introvert who doesn’t love talking on the phone!!!
Today I am grateful for the excellent health insurance that enables my niece & her H to deal with their S’s multiple health issues (requiring frequent hospitalizations & expensive tests) without going bankrupt. They do have to pay for much of his therapy out of pocket, but the same company that provides great health insurance also pays a salary that allows them to afford the therapy. At the same time, I am saddened that many families do not have the same ability to access the care that allows this family to properly take care of their disabled child.
Tired but thankful for a weekend with my granddaughters.
Very grateful there are people like Mackenzie Scott in the world!

Haven’t posted in a couple of days, I’m going to have to dig deep for this today. Grateful for a lovely home, a warm bed, a kitchen full of food, a bank account that can pay the bills, and the good health of my family and friends.
Thankful for and proud of my children. We share many values and one is a love of reading. I love that they continue to read a steady stream of varied books each year (frequently beating me in the Goodreads challenge) despite their busy lives with work and family.
Saw this this morning and thought of this thread. A wonderful Thanksgiving tradition that has “gratitude” literally written all over it!
Incredibly thankful that we had the means and time to take our recent trip to France with two of our kids which was an amazing and joyous adventure.
I have been sick the last few days but I am thankful I was able to talk with the doctor yesterday and am thankful I am negative for Covid and Influenza.
