A morbid tip to help you get over failure/mistakes

Just remember.

We're all going to die anyway one day.

Helps me everytime.

very wise words.

That is morbid.

However, truer words have never been said.

We’re all going to die anyway one day.

But I’m going to fail all my APs.

Which means my parents will kill me in a couple of months.

:/ I don’t find it that comforting.

Wow, that’s exactly what I use to reassure myself too.

This is so true! But, yet, I’m pretty skeptical that I’ll ever die; I mean how could the world continue without me?

I use to think that too my friend
@FlCollegeman

But then I just remember that the world lived on without
Freddy Mercury
Albert Einstein
Michael Jackson
Leonardo Da Vinci
JFK
Princess Diana
John Lennon

Then I don’t seem so important…

^ You forgot Anna Nicole Smith.

I honestly don’t see how this helps. Okay, one day you’ll die, but in the mean time, you still ****ed up and it could make the rest of your life miserable.

This doesn’t work for me. However, I won’t list the reasons why; if it comforts you, then who am I to interfere?

There is a group of academics who would say otherwise. They would say the first person who will live forever (or maybe not forever, but a really really unimaginably long time relative to the slow pace at which our consciousnesses perceive time) is probably alive right now.

Whenever I need to comfort myself I just think “at least I’m not the type of guy who makes self-help posts on an internet forum.”

Don’t take life seriously, it’s not permanent.
It’s been my motto since freshman year in college, very many years ago, and never fails to snap me out of a stress out.

I’m a nihilist, so already knew this long ago.

My general philosophy is, “If you’re so upset by this, kill yourself.”
Consider it an advanced form.
