A more precise score..

I took the first test in the blue book (no prior preperation, no outside help but I took more time than allowed), and it gives such a wide scoring margin..I was wondering what a more precise score would be:

CR: 630-710
M: 580-660
W: 620-750

Total: 1830-2120

I'm leaning toward low to medium 1900's as your grade.

is that any good? (for cc standards as a first time)

not shabby, but need some work to do well on oct test

Oh jeez, this oct test? I was thinking about taking my first SAT in Oct 2007. LOL

oh. ur a sophomore lol

no, I'm junior next year...

wait that's what i meant lol- im still stuck in the "im a junior, not yet a senior til my first day of school" mentality, so i call everyone one year less essentially

haha yea I got you ;) I'd kill to be a sophomore next year with that score :p

That's why I make sure to write, whenever speaking about my grade that that's my grade NEXT year or LAST year

bumpity bump bump. is 1900-1950 more accurate?

i did say that when i replied heh.

whoops, I meant to say "*so *is 1900-1950 more accurate"

to get some other people's opinions ;)

Hey,

I just took the first bluebook test this morning myself.

I'd this test was slightly easier than the SAT test's I've taken, so the curve won't be as generous. I would estimate that your score is about 1920-1940. That isn't pinpoint accurate, but it's a pretty close estimate.

Also, your essay score makes a considerable difference. Essays can be graded on a +/- 1 scale. An essay intended to be 8 quality can jump up to a 9 or drop to a 7 quite often. What did you grade your essay?

I gave it a 4 since theres only one essay mark needed

Your score may not be very accurate, since I personally could do well in CR with more time, but I always either run out of time or rush to finish, which affects my score dramatically.
