Only suckers who think that staying after school helping a teacher file papers and getting hours because they want to be a member of some useless society join NHS. It is better if you do volunteer work outside of NHS, on your own, and for you own personal reasons, and to do something that really matters to you. Colleges don't look for NHS at all. If I were an admissions officer, I would reject most NHS people. It just shows that they will just do anything to get into college, when they don't really care about helping people, or doing good in the community.</p>

<p>Having your recommendation say "she" instead of "he" or visa versa. It's happened before at CMU. HAHAHA Some kid's teacher forgot to change all the pronouns and only altered the name of the university. Can you say rejected?</p>
