A paper on memorization

I am currently writing a paper on the three major steps of memorization. I was wondering if anyone knew of some hands down books and or other resources, I should look at. I have already done some research on the topic but I may have overlooked something that might really put my paper over the top. Thank you all and God bless.

PS. Is pursuing a career in psychology worth it? What are the benefits/problems? What is the pay like? What are the opportunities available to me? I love to write papers and conduct experiments so I would want to be an active psychologist, not just a static interviewer. Not saying that is bad, just not for me. Please help and again God bless.

How are you approaching the paper? Application-wise or Theoretically?

Make sure you include the Multi-Code Model and the Working Model of Memory along with Information Processing (concerning the depth of memorization). You could look into different case studies, like of Luria. Or an application of Eyewitness Testimony could be found in Loftus' work.

There are a lot of different ways you can go with it.
