a petty query?

i am applying to Penn early decision for the M&T program, with Wharton as my choice if i dont get in

From the Penn site, i found out that a decision for a spot on my second choice course i.e. only Wharton, will be made only after all the M&T places are exhausted.......

during the ED round, obviously all the M&T places will not be "exhausted" and so does that mean its impossible to be offered a place only at Wharton unless you are deffered to the regular round and then rejected M&T, accepted Wharton

in other words are these the only decisions i could be gettin in december:

Accepted M&T
Deffered M&T,
Rejected M&T and Wharton?

is it possible to be accepted Wharton ED, but deffered M&T?

They will look over your M&T application. If they deem you weak, they'll then look at you as a Wharton applicant - all in ED.
If you're accepted to Wharton, that's it.
If not, you'll either be deferred for RD (where you can apply for M&T again) or you'll be rejected.
