I applied to M&T with the choice of Wharton if I don't make it into M&T. Both of these were marked of as ED choices. If I get deferred from M&T, do the admissions people view my application for Wharton and make a decision on that, or does both M&T and Wharton get transferred to Regular Decision? Thanks for the input in advance.

If you get deferred to M&T, I think it automatically goes to RD. I believe that the “ED Single Degree Option” is based on getting denied to M&T (or any other dual degree) during the ED Round. Not 100% sure, but hey, we’ll know in less than two days!

from looking at old M&T threads
i get the impression that if you are deferred from M&T you can be considered for wharton

but im not positive on this one

I’d like to think I am pretty good with the understanding of these dual-degree programs.

If you are deferred from M&T ED, you will be considered for M&T. Thats it.
If you were rejected from M&T ED, you will be considered for Wharton.
For Wharton, you can be accepted, rejected or deferred to RD.

I am sure that this is how it works.

How many people do you think they defer ED for M&T? Is it more likely that one is deferred or rejected?
