<p>I almost had a notable Judge from Annapolis write my recommendation letter for my nominations. When I spoke to him, he said he would do it. But he asked me to read the description of who should write my letter. Then asked me what the definition of someone who knew me well was. Of course, I realized his point, he didn't fit the qualifications to write the letter.</p>
<p>Get a teacher, coach, priest, scout leader, even a family friend that KNOWS you, just don't do this my dad has a friend who knows so and so whose dogs had puppies one of which was given to this guy who happend to have met so and so who is best friends with so and so.....
If you do get a letter from that kind of person, which you probably won't, I don't think any board is going to look fondly upon it. You can see right through a letter like that, no specifics, no real references to character. Everything they learn from the letter was in either you transcript or resume. Thats a problem not an asset.</p>
