A question about GPA

Hi all,
im a canadian junior and im planning on applying ED to cornell.
i asked a similar question in the jhu thread but i want to know the answer from a cornell perspective.
so my question is: what is considered a low GPA for ED to cornell?
my application looks really great, top 1 percentile in two international science competitions (bio and chem), and 800s in three sat IIs (still need to take sat I tho), but the only thing that bothers me is my school marks. for my grade 11 final average, im projecting about a very high 80 or a low 90. can anybody tell me whether my grades fall within the competitive range for ED application?
thanks a lot in advance

That would probably be a little below Cornell's typical ED candidate, but still competitive. Go for it!

That would kind of hurt you, but applying ED would be the way to go.

OK here's what you need to do. Do AMAZING the first part of senior year...and I mean AMAZING. If you just so happen to get deffered than keep doing amazing. You can still be accepted with those grades, but you should really show them that you are working hard and get those great senior grades. GL and great test scores.

hmmmm...if those two science competitions are intel and westinghouse, dont worry about it.

Why is your GPA so low?

@SineWave: nope... canada doesnt have westinghouse ... but its university of toronto biology competition and university of waterloo chemistry competition with about 7000 people worldwide writing it - these two are the most recognized in canada
@bongoboy: sometimes i wonder myself why my grades are so low too sigh
