I applied to prattMWP (mostly because it was cheaper cause boy art schools are expensive) and a few weeks ago recieved a letter informing me that I had qualified for an 8000 dollar scholarship. The letter did not indicate whether the scholarship was for one year, four years, or anything else. I was informed that at the end of the two years prattMWP students are reevaluated for scholarships when they are transferred to the main school, but I'm still unclear on whether the scholarship is 8000 for one year and renewed if a certain GPA is maintained, or if it will be split into 4000 dollars a year.

Almost every scholarship has a GPA price tag associated with it. Most scholarships offered as freshmen are renewable. You should check it out though.

hey, graceoconqueso
I was wondering the same thing about the scholarship. Did you ever find out about the GPA thing?

graceo may be long gone, this is an old post. I got into Pratt this year with a 15000 per year merit scholarship and the letter states that it is per year for the duration of the program and a 2.5 must be maintained. Other schools I have heard from ask for a 3.0 to keep the scholarship.

The 8000 scholarship, and all merit scholarships at PrattMWP are per year and are automatically renewed if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA.

@PrattMWP Can we appeal for some more scholarship? I got a 5000 scholarship and I need to save some money if I want to attend the main campus after two years. Some of my friends have received even around 16000. But I’m an International student and they’re US citizens.
