A question about senior grades

Since Freshman year, my grades have always been trending upwards. but I'm finding quite a difficulty with AP's in senior year. I know that my overall GPA will fall especially due to Calculus BC (expecting a B to A-) and AP bio (B+ to A-), so I was wondering how large of an impact this would have on regular decision. Will the most selective colleges seriously reconsider me because of this drop? My previous grades have all been A to A+, but this was mainly because they were not AP courses.

No, your grades are still fine. A C or below will raise concerns.

The most selective colleges may not be in favor of the majority of your grades being high A’s because they were not AP courses or courses with equivalent rigor. If that’s true, it will hurt you in regular admissions.

Some schools have a limit of how many AP’s you can take a year or what year you start taking them. If you fall into one of those two categories, selective institutions will take that into consideration.

Try and keep all As. Good luck.
