If I took the equivalent of MATH 220 at another college, do I still have to take the placement exam to go on to the next level?

you need to take the screening test if you want to take math 220 (calc for business) or math 221 (calc 1). you do not need to take it for a higher level course if you have the prerequisite for the course.
so you need to find out if the course you took satisfies any prerequisite for the course you want to take.

Well, I completed MAT 122 at Stony Brook, which according to Bing’s transfer charts is equivalent to MATH 220. Does this mean I don’t have to take the screening test in order to move on to MATH 221?
