I'm a transfer student.I have a question about essay.The tips said that 300~500 words are sufficient,but i wrote a over 3000 word essay.I sent an e-mail to AO,he told me that they don't have a word limit for essay prompts,however they do encourage students to stay within the 300-500 word range.
So i wonder if i could submit a 3000 word essay?will it have any bad influence on my application？

<p>Yes, that is too long. Remember that these people review thousands of applications. They don’t have time to read an epoch. Show them that you know how to follow directions and trim it down to ~500 words.</p>
