A question for any southerners attending SLU: How big is the climate shock?

I’m a native Texan, and am more than use to hot and humid summers of Houston. I’ve been to Boston a couple times (including during “snowpocalypse” this last February) and was shook pretty bad by the near-sub-zero temperatures. Is it possible to adjust?

My son is from So Cal and has had no problem adjusting…

From a native New Zealander:

“Despite all I have seen and experienced, I still get the same simple thrill out of glimpsing a tiny patch of snow in a high mountain gully and feel the same urge to climb toward it.”
