A question from my friend

My friend asked me this, and I wasn't sure how to answer

If he had a GPA of about 86% his first 3 years and then his final year he got an avg. of 95% (we just got our report cards for 1st marking period he had about a 94% 1st) would colleges look at this as a good thing?
Ive read about "late bloomers" on this forum and I'm guessing he would fall into this category?

also he asked me if there were some colleges that would accept someone in a situation like his(his SATs were 1300, same as me but his scores were 680m and 620v)

BTW-I got a 96% avg. first marking period :)(I was just happy when I found out)

senior year is a little late to start

i do have one of those "rising records"

86-89-92 (about 95 this year)

progression (my case) is usually seen better than a jump. But getting better grades can never hurt you. They aren't going to hold it against him if he started doing well senior year.

A rising trend is good, and is taken into account. If things were close, it might tip it towards acceptance.
