I want to be quick here .. I need an answer either "possible or not possible"

and i will work it out by my own

If someone has the following :

International student
3.8 GPA from local univeristy
2 research experiences - good ones
GRE score 800 Q - 600 v
toefl 110/120 iBT
GRE subject test (chemistry) 900

and no FUNDS !

shall I bother and seek an admission in any university ( am not looking for top ones) hoping to get a scholarship or assistantship that covers the full Msc/PhD 5 years + living expenses ???? for the Biomedical sciences field

Is that possible ?

Could it happen, so that I start pouring in it all the energy I can gain from the world from myself and go there ?

Is it possible to think about this with no penny in the pocket ?

I have to disagree with portugueseninja - PhD programs in the sciences, including biomedical sciences often (I am almost tempted to say typically) come with full funding, including full tuition remission and a stipend for living expenses (typically around $20,000 a year), in the form of a teaching or research assistantship. And for most of these programs your nationality is completely irrelevant!

So yes, it is definitely possible for you to get funding for a PhD in the States.

It's not impossible, but depends on the University. Most of them don't offer financial aid to internationals. And the ones that do, from what I can tell, are all top ones. Have you done SATs? I think it's worth trying if you really want to.

You say you're looking for the Msc/PhD? Does that mean you're looking for postgrad stuff? If you are I think the finaid is even more limited.. sorry.

You should definitely apply- getting funds while doing a phd is relatively very easy- esp in the sciences since there is a shortage of Americans going into higher studies in sciences.
You have a pretty decent GRE score and while i can't judge your GPA- i know a lot of people getting admitted to Phd programs with similar or lesser score.
Just don't do the mistake of applying to top notch universities- apply to a large number of all types.
As for search for funding- its taken for granted that you will be getting a scholarship (funds) for doing a dual degree in US. You don't need to search- just apply.
