A Question

<p>Is it a good idea to talk about how one loves his/her mother country and would like to promote the culture even though there are some intriguing political disagreements between the US and the country? Would the admission officers shrug and think, "well, why do you bother to come to US?"</p>

<p>You should say anything you feel gives an insight into who you are. The admissions officers want to know about the real you. If they don’t let you in because of what you say in the essay, it’s probably because you honestly aren’t a good fit for that school.</p>
