a quick question on scholarship

Hey guys,

I got admitted to Emory and was wondering about scholarships..
I am an international student and did not apply for financial aid but is it possible to negotiate/appeal for merit based scholarship? Do I just send them a letter?

BTW, i did not get any scholarship offer when I received my package, but I'm still thinking about attending since I got a good offer from another college..

hey don't quote me on this since i'm not real sure but for merit aid the emory scholars is already too late and then the other scholarships they offer are for older students except the barkley debate scholarships. yet u r international so it might not be the same for u so i would call them. plus heres the link for scholarships at Emory
the main one: http://www.college.emory.edu/students/scholarships/emoryscholars.html
and heres one for national and international students:
http://www.college.emory.edu/students/scholarships/scholarships.html

what about financial aid? Are they generous?

Emory does not provide any type of financial aid for international students. I am an international student also and was expecting something from Emory since they are generally known for their affluent funds for scholarships, but I couldn't get any. You would have to find outside sources.

Thanks, ijm!
I knew the application for the scholarship was finished already but was just wondering if i could negotiate for some money. I read a thread about negotiating/appealing merit based money and it seemed to work out pretty well in some cases.
One of the reasons i applied for Emory was because of their big endowment. I know it's really hard to get a financial support from the college as an international, but is Emory generous in offering scholarships to sophmore/higher internationals if they show a high academic standards in the first year?
