A replacement for unattainable midyear and school reports? - international student

Hi everyone. So here is the deal: I finished high-school 2 and a half years ago , and I am currently in the military. I decided to try and attend an US University , but I might have some difficulty with the forms mentioned. I cannot get the midyear report because I got it already , almost 3 years ago. This form is not usually kept so I threw it a long time ago , obviously I cannot get a new one because I'm not a student anymore. I also cannot ask my former principal ( we do not have a college guidance council ) to fill out the school report form because I'm not listed as a student. The only thing I can do is to ask the teachers for recommendation letters. Is it possible that my graduation report , including level of study and final ministry of education approved grades , count as a replacement to the forms I mentioned?

Best not to start two identical threads in different forums

You are a high school graduate. You do not need a mid-year report - that is for students who are still in school. You need to send your final transcript.

Thank’s happymomoof1 , that makes sense. Though I wonder why no Uni site mentions this. Just three more questions so I could put my mind at ease:

Is the School Report unneeded as-well?

Should I send my final transcript ( Already translated to English + original language copy ) with a Common Application Final Report Form?

Should I send copies of the midyear and school reports filled with applicant information , and to attach a statement concerning why the forms are otherwise empty?

You need to ask the admissions office at each of the places that you are applying to which documents they will need. Some will want a formal School Report, but others won’t. In some cases your translated transcript will be OK, but others will want you to have it if you have had your transcript professionally evaluated by an organization such as [World Education Services - International Education Intelligence](http://www.wes.org/)

You should read through the information at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.info/) and you should make an appointment with the counselors at the advising center closest to where you live. [EducationUSA - Find an Advising Center](http://www.educationusa.info/centers.php#.TqmLpJsr27s) They have experience working with applicants like you who are completing military service, and they can help you get everything sorted out. You also should spend some time in the International Students Forum [International Students - College Confidential](International Students - College Confidential Forums) You will find lots of good ideas there.

Wishing you all the best!

Thank’s a lot , You really helped me out :)
