A second chance for Financial aid?

I am an accepted applicant entering brown next year. I understand that we should apply for financial aid at the time of application. Unfortunately I did not. Is there a second chance that I can apply for it for the sophomore year? Or are there any ways that could help me ease the financial burden on my parents such as scholarships, part time work? Other than these two, what other ways are there?

You may definitely apply for financial aid next year: you must have the required paperwork to them by May 1 at the latest. I would suggest that you meet with the financial aid folks sometime during your first semester at Brown to see if there is any chance of help for second semester this year as well. Some ways students help with college is to be a dorm counselor or RA, to seek out departmental scholarships at Brown and other outside scholarships for present college students, and to work. Brown has wonderful information available about jobs you can get that are not necessarily workstudy. One place to look is the Brown Dailyjolt www.dailyjolt.com and another is the financial aid website.

Good luck!

The website for jobs at Brown from the school website is:

http://financialaid.brown.edu/JobX_FindAJob.aspx

Unfortunately, I failed to add an important point that I am a foreign citizen. I just checked their website at http://financialaid.brown.edu/Cmx_Content.aspx?cpId=57
and found that there is no way of applying for financial aid in my years in Brown. Are there any other ways???

Having a green card or being a citizen of Canada or Mexico technically make you a domestic student i think. In that case you are not bound to any international student rules

what is a green card? You mean an international can hold a second citizenship of Canada or Mexico?
