A senior who hasn't even picked a college yet!!!....plz HELP

Hi,
It would be a long story to tell everything that has happened leading up to this. But basically I hate the college that I have decided to go to. I really like business and especially entrepreneurship. It's either between U of I at Urbana-champaign and university of Illinois at chicago. UIC's ranking for an undergrad entrepreneurship major is number 9 in the nation (by Entrepreneur.com) and u of I isn't even listed (however they are still relatively good) However, the only thing holding my back from going to UIC is that a LOT of my friends are goin to U of I and more people of my "type". On the other hand UIC is in the city and has a great program. Oh and another thing is that U of I is pretty strict on switching majors. So for the first semester and possibly for the first year I can take only gen ed requirements. So I prolly wouldn't even be able to switch out to their business college.

btw, since I have good stats U of I told me that they would prolly take me even though the deadline has passed and UIC, hands down.

Any opinions????

My heart is tellin me U of I but my brain is tellin me UIC

oh and another thing is which college would better to go to for obtaining a job. I'd prolly like to get my feet wet first before starting a business or sometin.

Thanks!

UofI is wayyyy better than UIC (unless you're planning on gppa or something). Especially their business school. (it's top 20, I dont think UIC's makes top anything)

And actually, its not that hard to switch majors/schools at UofI. you just have to do some gen eds and keep your gpa high. I know people who have done it.

Yea just stay in UIUC its wayyyy better and u have friends that r gunna be there.

woah i didnt even realize taht i completly copied wat Niihla wrote.

ok thanks guys/girls. I really, truly appreciate the feedback. I have decided U of I and I will send a petition letter monday so I can get a response ASAP. I prolly will get *****ty dorms though. o well.

You could live in private housing, i hear they're pretty nice but a little more expensive. I'm sure they have room still available. My sister just did her housing a couple weeks ago (she got off the waitlist), she's living at bromley which is probably the nicest dorms (private) on campus.
