A small request for accepted students who choose not to attend Bennington

<p>Accepted students who choose not to attend Bennington, could you please do me a small favor?
Could you please inform the college about your decision as early as possible?</p>

<p>I’m a qualified international student and the only factor that’s put me on the waitlist is my huge financial need- “Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to reconsider your application immediately, but rest assured that you have a competitive spot on the waitlist, and should any funding become available as other scholarship candidates decline their offers of admission, we will notify you immediately.”</p>

<p>If you let the college know early, I might just be able to get an offer of admission from my top choice college.
I hope you understand.</p>

<p>My D got her acceptance today. She has already decided to go to Wellesley and will let Ben. know immediately of her plans.</p>

What was her Bennington financial aid package/scholarship worth, if you don’t mind?</p>

<p>Thank you! Her FA package was decent, but not nearly as good as Wellesley’s. We didn’t expect it to be, though. She was offered a merit scholarship of $8,000 a year, and then (for the year) $25,300 in grants and $5,473 in student loans, leaving a balance of $16,238. </p>
