So do I have a snowballs chance in hell of getting in?
Thanks!

I too applied to Stanford SCEA. I am similar to you in the fact that I have many extracurricular leadership positions: National Honor Society, Academic Team, Republican Club, and So far captain of cross country. I don't know about indoor and outdoor track. My GPA may be higher than your. I am the top of my class of 218. Your SAT is higher than mine. I am only a 2230, but I also had to deal with some family circumstances throughout high school. Anyway, I am rambling. Yes, you do have a snowball's chance in hell. Your scores are excellent, your ECs and leadership are great and you are extremely well-rounded. My only concern is that many of your ECs are common, but being a special needs mentor I think will stick out a little bit. In addition, if only being in the top 10% is your only problem, I think you definitely have a shot. If your essays and recs say something unique and special, your chances will be even better.

Your awards are great and your test scores are also. The fact that you appear to be a popular guy on campus as well as having great academics and working with special needs children should really work in your favor. My guess is you will be admitted.

Best of success.

^agree completely.

All I got to say is, if you don't get in that's ****ed up.

Thanks everyone.
Jamnman hope to meet you in the Fall of '08!

Lol... if you dont get in... unless your recs and essays SUCK, you're a match even for stanford (or slight reach)
