A sophomore at a crossroads...

Hello, everybody. I'm a sophomore at a California public high school, and I am enrolled in honors physics. I'm in a class with all freshman, which really -- for lack of a better word -- sucks! Anyway, I was thinking I might transfer into honors chemistry, which I've heard is more difficult. I already have a strenuous course load, but I want to be with my friends! Any insight? Thanks!

I too honor bio with freshman when I was a sophomore. Its honestly not that bad, freshmen are tools but there will be some actually chill freshmen in every class. Don’t put extra weight on yourself with a harder class just to be with kids in your class when you have at least 4 or 5 other classes with them.

Takes honors chem (unless you are really interested in physics). Not only will a harder class look better for college and help you to manage work in general, but you will have an easier time studying with friends. This will result in better communication and group skills (which you could still get from honors physics, but I’d personally find it easier with people in my grade).

ASticks that’s the problem, I don’t have any classes with my friends. This would be my only real opportunity to be with my friends! On the other hand I am going to take a subject test in science at the end of this year, and I think I would do better on physics. Ugh.
