So my grades in both freshmen and sophomore year were not the greatest. And I mean not good at all. Pushed an all time low of a F once or twice. Never more than 1 at a time though. Junior year I did considerably better with mostly Bs and a couple of As.

Okay so I thought I'd explain my ec.
Link Crew (helps ease 8th graders transition into high school) 1 year
Band (play french horn) 4 years
Break dance club 3 years became VP for 1 year (dancing is a huge huge passion of mines)
Buddhist Youth Group 11 years

Standardized Tests
SAT 1510 but definitely taking it again
ACT have yet to take
SAT II also have yet to take

Family (if it helps)
Money is definitely a factor in my choices of colleges.
My parents have very very little experience in this whole college thing.

Well then this is quite literally the story of my life. Haha. Well then uhm... your thoughts? And if you want anymore information feel free to ask. Thanks in advance!

Well. I’d maintain solid grades for your senior classes, meaning you definitely shouldn’t get any F’s. Colleges won’t have time to see them in detail but bombing your classes will make you suffer.

i hear you can’t do much to improve your EC’s during senior year… so focus on your SAT’s and improve that score…

i’m in the same situation as you are!! i started hs taking a bunch of hard classes and didnt do so well in them because i just didnt feel like doing the work. then toward the end of my soph year, i kicked the laziness and started working really hard. although, my gpa is still ruined from the first 3 semesters. can i ask what colleges you are going to be applying to?

Given your grades and financial situation you are most likely looking at your state schools. Have you read up on their policies? In CA, for example, you must retake any grade lower than a C to even be considered by a UC.

So read up on your possibilities in state ASAP and talk with your counselor about the possibilities.

Haha yeah well the rigor of my school is outstanding. A student to have taken 8+ AP courses is normal. I’m applying to UW WWU and just for the hell of it UCI.
Ah yeah I’m going for state schools. I live in Washington. Also community college is preferred by my parents considering our financial situation.

Well the good thing is that you are making progression through out the whole high school time but you sure better should get As during your senior year
