First, if I mail out the application on Monday, Oct 24 and I live in Connecticut, when will the application arrive at Cornell?

Second, which of the following weighs more: Teacher recommendations or Counselor Recommendation?

They base it on postmark dates, i think. So it doesn't really matter. But probably by the 29th (notice the by, not ON).

Teacher recs weigh more because they should know more about you. Your counselor is just going to say how hard your schedule is and explain things like why you take 2 years of spanish instead of 4. The teacher is going to say, this person is so funny and they work hard every day. They always come in with something groovy and interesting to say and really make my class worthwhile. I remember one time, the school was on fire, and this person came in and saved the entire student body, all 1323 people. This person really cares... blah blah blah.

Rach, you're from Connecticut right? If we both are accepted, we should have a party at my crib.

NY, but sounds good

my bro mailed it the day before and he got in...

take your time, have it in.

I mailed mine a couple days before. It's based on postmark, and it doesn't even matter if it's a few days or even a couple weeks late. (though it would be prudent to send it on time)

Haha I saw the title of this thread and I thought you were trying to make a reference to the movie Harold and Kumar. I hope people understand what i'm talking about.

haha...Kenneth Park, class of 2004

lol. good one lmao.
