If I get a 700 at least on the SAT on each section will it help me?

Gpa- B/B+
Major-HISTORY
Rank-(top 50%) will increase to 25%
SAT-1800/2400

Job- B&N Barnes and Noble
Volunteer- Red Cross overseas (100 hours service=4yrs)

AP- 2 History and Comp Science
Honors- Algebra 2, Pre-Cal, History and English

URM (African)-Burundian
Out state-NJ

Sports- Soccer/Swimming

Clubs-Model UN, E.R.A.S.E.(erase racism, 2yrs), school newspaper editor, yearbook, made website for recognition of war, red cross, made my own computer game, play the drums in band (not a school band and also not normal for African WOMEN to do that).

Essay- "Table".
I will write about a "Table".How the table is important to me: In Africa my family and I were in a war and so we hide underneath the table from the bombs. Now, since I am in the USA for many years, dont know exact number... but anyways, now my parents uses it to talk about bills and how will survive for next day.

So the essay will be a contrast of the use of a table in two different countries and different situations.

What's your GPA on a 4.0 scale? Also, what's your SAT Math/Reading only (out of 1600)?

Also, your essay idea seems interesting. Good luck with that.

i really like your essay topic, it sounds really cool. i'll say that you'll get in, more hope that you get in b/c we're, in some ways, in the same boat. (urm all day baby) haha but yeah you'll get in. if you can get 1300+ on the sat, you should be ducky. (my teacher said this to me once....yeah...i was thinking the same thing)

if you want to see my stats, look a little lower on this forum, it's the I'm reeeeaaallllyy duuuuumb one

GT does not do race or gender-based admissions, AFAIK, hence the lack of diversity relative to the #1 schools.

gpa-3.0
sat -1200

Uhhh, honestly I think a 3.0/1200 is a little low for you to be accepted. You're going to want to make your essay really good (looks like you can since what you plan to write about is pretty interesting).

What should be my aim for gpa and sat?
Do we have to take the SATII?

I'd say a 3.7+ GPA and a 1300+ SAT makes you competitive. In your case improving your GPA might be a little harder, so work on getting a good SAT score.

GT does not look at SAT Subject Tests for admissions.

How difficult is the chemistry department, academic wise? How hard is it to get an A?

changing major international relations will this help?

your intended major is not used for admission decisions (for freshman)
