A versus A-?

one time, i got a B+. i cried for six days. on the seventh day, i rested and started anew.

^ serious?

I think you'll be OK. Yeah, it probably would have been better had you gotten straight As, but A-s are nothing to snuff at. The more important variable here is your class rank- if that suffered significantly as a result of these grades, then the A-s suddenly become more important.

Remember, though, that class rank is used to put these grades into context- so if you're still highly ranked with these grades, it'll be very different than if you get bumped outside of say, the top 10% or something.

For the record, my A-s were in higher math classes, and I'm a math and science person going to MIT. However, my class rank was still excellent. So it really depends.

lol my A-s are everywhere. but my class rank is probably still okay, top 1% or so

Yeah, you're fine. Top 1%? That qualifies as excellent. I don't think it's going to matter.

lol i am top 1%, but our school doesn't do individual rank. they rank you by top multiples of 10s. so nobody would know if i'm #1 or #10...they'd look at my grades and think i'm probably #10 or something :p
