So I really screwed up my second term grades for Junior grades (watching TV and not reading or doing homework) but I think I can still bring up my grades and get A- for the end of year. Our school gives 4.0 for A- but since it still shows up on the transcript would it greatly hurt my chances? (I'm not aiming for Ivies, but I still want to try my luck at Norwestern and UChicago which still takes really good stats)

It’s unlikely to matter much, especially if it’s calculated as a 4.0. Seriously. Some schools have even explicitly stated that A-'s and A’s are considered equally.

thank you for the encouragement. After hearing my science teacher say how other schools and colleges treat A- as B’s I kind of freaked out.
