A very disturbing episode

My CR score was very upsetting!!!!
I feel like practice did not work after taking all 8 CB pract. tests and scoring much lower on CR on the real thing.
I scored 700-770 CR consistently on the practice tests WITH TIMING, REAL TEST CONDITIONS, and EXTREME SLEEP DEPRIVATION, on the real thing I got much lower!!!! This is REALLY DISTURBING. ALL that effort and dedication for BS. That CR score was a real devastating blow to me. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON????
WHAT TO DO, just read like crazy or take practice tests? I know that the SAT does not measure intelligence, I just want to know how the h*** I can score higher in CR
IS THERE ANY CHANCE MY CB SCORE COULD BE AN ERROR? HANDSCORING RECOMMENDABLE?

I wouldn't reccomend handscoring in your situation. I think many went into this SAT thinking it would be easier than ever before, but many have received disappointing scores (more than usual it seems). I'll let others give out specific cr advice

PLZ help I have to take test again in June. Is there anything I can do??? I am desperate to the point.. I feel like a category 5 hurricane just ripped across my brain

Look, cr is the hardest score to raise, for most people because it's not like you can just practice it a couple times before the test and be good, like you can for math. When you take practice tests, see what kinds of questions you're getting wrong. I'm guessing you're weak in 1 or more areas, and just looking to see what this weakness is could help you

I apologize for overreacting in my last post, I was a little in an upset mood- I thank you for the advice, and will try it... :)
any other advice is certainly welcome from others...

I think the best solution will be a lot of reading editorials and some occasional practice

Yea I was getting 700+ on my practices and wound up with a 650 :</p>

It's really strange as to why the CB practice CR tests were so much easier than the real thing... for my crazy mind

I'm not surprised...it's kind of to their advantage even if they didn't mean it, because if you're expecting a 750cr based on practice tests, but you get a 670, aren't you a lot more likely to retake that than if you were getting 670 on your practice tests

Thank you celebrian! I feel much better now that there's a chance that the SAT difficulty was NOT just a flaw within my reading comprehension reasoning skills, but a financially motivated exploit by CB!The test was actually harder, or meant to be so....I'm not saying that this was the case, but the mere possibility of it being the case satisfies me in some quirky intellectual way.

amazing thought! :)

Hyper2400,
could you have misbubbled a section?

That's possible, I was kinda skipping around completely on the test part with the passages and might have misbubbled

Also, consider many, many cc'ers received much lower scores than they expected/their test results showed. So while you may have misbubbled, perhaps you did not

Could it have been a CB scoring Error???? I REALLY hope it was?

You can pay your $25 and see, I would be shocked if that was so however. If you're really that concerned, go ahead with the hand scoring, but I wouldn't be expecting any miracles.

Ah well, in truth I may have over analyzed many questions- I'll review CB's answers on Apr. 16..

I'm not trying to discourage you, just being realistic

I'm actually feeling much Happier, because even if CB made no errors in grading, I think I realize what I did wrong (over-analyze the questions), and now I think I will be able to counteract this in the future. Nevertheless, Thank you for your responses :)
