What's the Deal?

Does anyone really know what happened with the March Critcal Reading scores? I've heard LOTS of complaints about how low so and so's score was and many people have even requested hand scoring. Are these results back yet? I'm wandering becuase my brother got about 60 lower than expected as well, and it came as quite a shock. What was the deal? Was it just abnormally hard, though that seems unlikely, or what? Can someone fill me in!

My score actually came back higher than I expected, but I don't think I've heard anyone else say that. It was my first time taking the actual SAT in high school, and I found the CR much easier than I thought. I got about 100 points better than I expected.

:[ I half hope and half not wish that scoring errors occured.

I mean, I hope that for all the people who expected to do well to actually get the score they deserved.

I got an 800 on the verbal in March, and I've improved over 100 points. I'll be kind of disappointed if an error did happen. Oddly enough, I thought the March one was a lot easier than the other test date's.

I don't know if I should ask for hand scoring. I did about 60 pts worse than usual on CR.

I did 120 points worse than I usually do on CR. I don't know if I should ask for hand scoring though. I don't understand what happened.

yeah my CR was about 100 points lower than what i have been getting on the practice tests. but...i didn't request hand scoring. oh well.

Hmm... the apparant "hit or miss" scoring of the CR seems to further suggest an error, but I don't want to jump to conclusions. It's still unlikely.

Is there a deadline to request hand scoring?

after 5 months. still plenty of time

Has anyone else asked for hand scoring? Now, I'm thinking about asking for it...

I am thinking also but 50 is a lot. I would hate paying it and find out everything is ok.

It's funny though. Some people who are not always so good at CR did WELL. People who usually did well... DID NOT. I suspect something went wrong?? or maybe I'm just over-analyzing this entire thing.

There might be something wrong. You never know.

Well, the thing is, I got perfects on all the sections, and I was pretty sure on all of my CR questions.

I mean, if there's a scoring error, there's little chance that I "correctly" marked on all of the "wrong" answers.

:/ But then again, after that incident last year, nothing's certain anymore, eh?
