A welcome to those applying in 2006 Nov. onwards

^ that really depends on your cr/writing score and where you're from. If you're from an english speaking country, and you've been living there for more than 5 years, with a good cr score, I'm pretty sure toefl will be waived.
Well I'm not gonna take it if they make me.. waste of money and I know I can speak english fluently and so do others and if the college doesnt believe me, screw them. Plus I'm aiming for a really good cr score so yeah.

Hey I think US's class 2011 comprises of 1989's. Because I remember this thread on cc and all these 1988's were 2010 and 1989's were 2011...

I'm 16... and I came from Hong Kong(I wonder anyone will know this place)...

well certainly people know about Hong Kong...

and welcome to CC all you 11'ers

I'm afraid that people think Hong Kong is a village...XD

Then people will think Singapore is part of China...

Given the geographical distance between S'pore and China...

Course we know where HK is! :)

Ok... then from now on, I can type "HK" instead of "Hong Kong, a commerical city in the southern China" when I introduce myself.

Hello all, I'm 15, turning 16 in June, studying in Dubai in the ISC (Indian system). I've very little idea of what I'm going to be doing, probably something related to engineering/physics or could even be english oriented. Currently exhausted having done 3 SAT II s today.

Oh, and does anyone know if TOEFL is compulsory even with a perfect 1600 in CR & Writing?
