You know that saying, almost everyone has: You can't know success without failure.
Well, I wonder sometimes, I want to believe it, I really, really do. Finals are approaching and through either my own laziness, burnout, some planetary alignment, I have managed to pass maybe 2 of my classes. Out of 5. And one if a retake because I failed it last semester.
Yeah, probation is looming that's for sure.

But, is it the end? I'm going into my Junior year now and did fairly well before these last two semesters (fall and spring). I suppose it's a bit pathetic, but I really am here to ask that. Does such complete failure mean the end, or has someone else done this and bounced back?

There are plenty of stories… and I mean PLENTY of people bouncing back. A good example is my brother’s friend who graduated from high school with a 4.5 GPA and 1600 SAT score (it was that long ago), went to Cal Poly SLO, was kicked out after her sophomore year because she turned to partying, went to a community college for a year with a 4.0 GPA, was accepted to attend UCLA, and graduated magma cum laude. She’s now in graduate school and I assume doing very well.

I have a good friend who also went to SLO and was kicked out because he had a 1.4 GPA and again, went to a community college for a year with a 3.8 GPA, and is now back at SLO and his past 3 semesters have been at least 3.6 GPA in each.

There have been plenty of failures that have turned into great successes. You just need to make sure to turn it around and do your best.

I agree 1000% with Vihzel. You can definitely turn it around. And I can relate with you OP b/c I’m doing okay in 3 of my classes and I think I’m failing one of my classes (I’m going to talk with professor next week to see where I stand in the class). It definitely hurts because I’ve never failed anything in my life, I don’t want to fail, and honestly, who the hell wants an F on their transcript? But you just have to realize that you can turn it around. My proctor failed a class her freshman year and told me she turned it around big time. She told me “you can definitely bounce back, take it from someone who failed a class.” Just be confident, transition out of being lazy, be determined and motivated and you can turn it around too. I have big dreams after college so I myself have to stop being lazy, procrasinating, and all that stuff.

You have 4 semesters before you graduate college. MURDER those 4 semesters.
