I’m picking my classes for my senior year and I take Pre-Calculus CP (or regular) and next year I want to take Calculus, but I don’t know if I should take AB Calculus or Honors Calculus because they what is taught in the Honors is the exact same thing taught in AB but at a slower pace. AB goes faster then Honors but the it’s the exact same material, so I’m crossed between them. I’m planing to be a biology major and film major (or minor) and then to go on to medical school to be a Neurologist, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it taking AB Calculus along with AP Biology. What are your thoughts? I asked my teacher and guidance counselor and they said it can go either way because it’s the same material, but one doesn’t have an AP Exam. Thanks!!
@szarour are they both year-round courses?
I suggest taking Calc AB; getting a good score on the AP exam can usually give you credit for the equivalent college calculus course (which you’ll almost certainly need for a biology major).
