<p>I got notification of being a finalist for the A.B. Scholar program. Does anyone have any information on this? I was not aware of this program until I received the notification. Also, is the still merit assistance for finalists, even if they are not chosen as scholars?</p>
<p>i am one of the 44 finalists as well and I received a likely letter. even if not awarded the scholarship, we are still eligible for duke’s wonderful financial aid.</p>
<p>also, for those who asked earlier, there was not a separate application process at all, you were automatically considered for it</p>
<p>A. B. Duke winners have been notified of getting the scholarship as of yesterday. There are at least nineteen of us who got it… perhaps they’re worried several of us won’t accept the offer?</p>

<p>Exactly half are members of the A.B. Duke 2016 Facebook group, which is really the only “list” I’ve seen. The only ones listed on the A.B. Duke website as new scholars are the ones who’ve actually confirmed enrollment and accepted the scholarship. I know of one person for sure on the waitlist, and there are probably four to five more. Again, twenty-two people seems very high compared to past years!</p>
