Okay, I just read it – and it’s good. It doesn’t read like an abortion essay, it reads much more like an overcoming obstacles essay. Well done.
@Pheebers Thank you so much! I was scared that it would be too risky.
@IWantStanford16 hey i would be willing to read it. Feel free to PM me

I would be willing as well!
I’d be willing to as well.
If it is about you then there is no harm in writing it. You can PM me the essay.
I’m willing to read it if you still need a second opinion.
I don’t know your other stats or if you are an URM, but if you are fairly unlike to get into Stanford anyway, I would take a shot and send it in (is this just for Stanford?). As far as I can now see, the more unusual, crazy, weird your essay is, the better. Guns, as one poster said, may be a different issue as colleges paralyzed about incidents occurring on campus.
Sent to all:)
I would read it though you may have enough readers already. I think it is a risky topic but it depends on the angle of your thesis. Ad coms are willing to read risky if well thought out and argued.
Not risky at all unless you do it incorrectly
i would love to read this

I would like to read it!
“I want to write my essay about going to Costco. Is that too risky?”
My point is that risk works. Indeed, another word for risk is originality. Yes, abortion is contentious and may offend. But if you focus on your experience, and writing in a thoughtful, soulful way, I believe that an epic essay could emerge.
I’d be happy to give it a read and provide some positive feedback!
Same
I think I’m rather late here, but I’d love to read your essay if you could pm me!
absolutely not.
