<p>Two of the schools I am applying to are Princeton and Stanford. The both do not consider freshman grades, which is good because mine wre horrible. Without them, I have a 3.88 UW GPA. MY question is: DO schools liek Princeton and Stanford compeltely disregard freshman year, or does freshman year contribute somehow else into the admissions process? Thank you.</p>
<p>If your HS ranks, your rank will probably be lowered by your bad freshman year.</p>

<p>I think that’s correct. The only other consequence I can think of is if your weak freshman grades prevented you from taking “most rigorous” classes in later years.</p>
