so i've heard that adcoms look down upon students who take up their ap credits. since june/july class registration is upon me..i have many ap credits that i could potentially use. so im wondering which ones are okay to use and which ones arent, or just not use them at all? i know i prob shouldnt take my bio ap cred, since bio is my major, and prob not bc calc either right? anyhow, heres a list of what i have..

-human geo, us hist, micro econ
-psych
-eng lang
-comp sci a

and this is what i'm taking this yr...
-bio, physics c, bc calc, us gov't, eng lit

If you're taking more biology classes it doesn't matter, they aren't going to care about a skipped intro class if you take harder stuff. I also don't think skipping Calc would be that serious, as I believe a few schools don't even require it.

I would take a calculus class of some kind. I would also take a biology class of some kind. At my school, intro-level calc is more difficult and tedious than intermediate calc, so - if you were a student here - I would recommend that you use the BC credit. That will obviously vary depending on what school you are at. The same logic would apply for biology, except that Intro Bio at my school is relatively easy as well as just a good foundation. Investigate the specific circumstances at the school you'll be attending, and - I think - err on the side of not using the APs.

Also consider not using the Eng Lang credit. The other few are not premed requirements anyway, so don't worry about them.
