about application submitting methods

I just created a northwestern online app account not realizing it was a very different app from the common app; I meant to apply using the common app. I've already completed the common app personal statements and etc with time and care, so I would very much like to use this information for northwestern instead of having to write another essay on a different topic.

Is it okay to submit the application using common app even though I've created a northwestern account? Technically I have not submitted anything per se. If you know anything please let me know.

yeah it's fine. i did the same thing, i made a nu account but realized that i would rather use common app so i just submitted that & the nu supplemental and it was perfectly fine. they got everything

There is an email address to cancel your northwestern online account. I suggest doing that and submitting the common app.

does anyone know if they prefer one method to the other? thanks a lot~!

i just read the old threads and found the answer. :)

I thought you need a Northwestern Account anyway, since the supplement link from common app links you to the northwestern site for the common app supplement.
