About BME in Rice, HELP.

I am interested in and want to major in BME, but I find that BME is not on major list of Rice. Rice seems only has BE. I find in the requirements in Rice that most of the courses under BE are in biology, but I think BME focuses more on math, mech and chem because BME is about devices to diagnose and treat diseases. So, in Rice, what major is similar to BME?
In addition, if I major in BME, do I have to study AP BIO? (Now, I take AP CHEM, AP CALC and AP PHY)
Thanks in advance for your helps. I really appreciate it!!

What about Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Systems?

At the undergraduate level Bioengineering and Biomedicalengineering are probably close enough. Bioengineering still gets traditional engineering courses: Thermodynamics, Numerical Analysis, Mechanics
