Does anyone know where I can find a detailed list of every single major that's offered at Rice?

they are listed in the General Announcements 2004-2005 with all the classes you need to take to satisfy the requirements for that particular major
they don't have one yet for Fall 2005

thanks! is there a more simplified and concise list, but one that still lists every major though?

i think this is it...hope it helps...

yeah, i looked at that one...but im really not sure if those are really all the majors that are offered at rice....im so sorry im being so picky, but i guess thats why i started this thread to ask if any of you guys knew...

I believe you can find the full list on the application.

is there a biomedical engineering major at rice? where can i find the specific course requirements for majors?

i don't think Rice has biomedical engineering as a major... the closest major to BME would probably be Bioengineering...

all the specific course requirements are listed in General Announcements... click on "Departments & Programs"

BioE:
http://www.rice.edu/catalog/2004_2005/PDF/Bioengineering.pdf

for any of you currently attending Rice...would you say it would be hard to double major in economics and bioengineering...while doing premed at the same time?

I think it would be challenging, but you should try it, if that's what you want to do. If you decide that you don't like it, you can change pretty easily. Basically, it just means that you won't be taking many electives because most of your time will be spent fulfilling major requirements. But if that is ok with you, go for it!

if i applied to the school of natural sciences...does that commit myself to a degree in the natural sciences? is it still possible to graduate with a degree, say in engineering or social sciences?

no, it does not commit you. yes, it is possible (and likely, even) that you will get a degree in a different school. It is difficult to switch into architecture and music, though.

when you were answering the question about why you were applying to the school of natural sciences it specifically said something like "remember your choice is non-binding"
