About calling tomorrow...

Sorry for the link folks, too tired to cut & paste...

Thanks for bearing with us.

-B

Thanks, Ben. I have a feeling you are going to be very popular tomorrow. At least, at first. Actually, that's suddenly not quite so reassuring.

But good job, and thanks for the work.

And you were so relieved when the decisions went out. Little did you expect that you'd be more tired and more stressed after. Damn USPS.

Thanks for the awesome job, Ben.

Also, i'd like to add how much more awesome it was recieving the tube, after antagonizingly driving up my street twice in an hour to check on the progress of the postman, and waiting in my room, trying to watch Arrested Development, and constantly glancing out of the window.

Seeing the Postman back into my driveway and walk out of his truck with a Tube was so much of a better feeling than checking online to see a "You were accepted" ever could be.

I'd agree with keeping it mail based.

Ben it must have been quite a day. Thanks for your's and Marilee's blogs clarifying a lot of questions.

There are a lot worse things that could happen than not getting a rejection/deferral letter.

Seems like MIT really will give most applicants the personal treatment - I don't envy you there. I hope most people can wait for the USPS delivery.

Ben, you guys are totally awesome.

[21:10] My Friend: ahh
[21:10] My Friend: i've been thinking lately about colleges, and the extent people go to kill themselves all in the name of getting in
[21:11] My Friend: how hard it is to get in
[21:11] My Friend: for example my friend tells me people start taking ap tests as freshmen

...cut...

[21:13] Me: But yeah, there is a lot of stress surrounding college and stuff
[21:13] Me: I found that MIT made the process very human and personable
[21:14] Me: there are 4 people on the adcom that posts to their own personal blogs reguarly
[21:14] Me: From reading them, you truly see their ups and downs and their emotional rollercoaster
[21:15] Me: You see that they are people

What exactly do parents need to be able to call in? I'm going to be at school, so it'd be nice for my father to be able to call before I get out and the phone lines are shut down...
