The Spread of Admissions Letters

According to Nance, "As of [9 AM EST Saturday] the decisions were at Boston’s South Station (the main post office) and will be making their way to your mailboxes accordingly." He basically said no letters moved on Friday, which is why so few Bostoners and New Englanders got them.

Not sure how many planes fly/trucks drive between terminals for the mail on Saturday. Less people might get their Admission letters tomorrow than we'd like to think. Realistically, with the storm, Tuesday would be a safer bet for people far away.

So, don't get your hopes up about getting your tube tomorrow and, more importantly, don't flip sh**s when you open your mailbox later today and don't see a tube. It's not that they Deferred/Rejected you...it's probably because you just didn't get your letter at all today. Flip through the mail before you flip out.

And, to close this post, best of luck to everybody that applied Early. This CC forum has been a great place to come and talk to other people about MIT (And colleges in general). The people here make this forum the biggest wealth of MIT information one could hope for. I'd like to thank everyone for making this such a great place and Ben, especially, for making the MIT Admissions Staff the most accessible and awesome admissions staff of any college.

Is that blog entry post dated? It says it was posted December 10...

no, no, no, no, no!

ahhh!

[I don't know whom I'm responding to. Just felt like responding.]

im in CO, what's the chance that it gets here today (8 hrs left)...?

I'm in upstate NY, and there was a serious lack of MIT mail in general in my mailbox today.
