I am a international student. I want to my undergraduate in usa. But my eca is very low and I didn’t get any honor. Also I am a average student in my college. But I want apply in usa universities (especially cornell university). I am very passionate to get chance into it. For this eca I afraid to apply. can you give me some advise that how can I get into it easily. I want apply cornell university in early decision at fall 21. please help me to get into this. and I want maximum fiancial aid becase my family can not bear my education expense in usa.
- Nobody gets into Cornell "easily". They get about 50,000 applications for first-year entry, and accept about 5,500- and some of those have a preferred status.
- It is even harder for international students: less than 300 of the 5500 first year students are international.
- Cornell is "need aware" for international students. That means that your ability to pay is considered when deciding whether or not to offer you a place. An international applicant who needs full aid would generally have to be a top candidate to be accepted.
- The minimums for language tests are: TOEFL- 100 (Internet version) and 600 (paper version) and IELTS - 7. Can you achieve those?
- You say that you are an "average" student. You are asking one of the top universities in the US to give you a free education. Besides the fact that you are "passionate" about it, what are the reasons that Cornell should choose you?
I respect your ambition, and I don’t like squashing dreams. But facing reality and figuring out what is possible is part of life.
