Hello fellow students!
I just had some questions regarding class decile :)
What happens with the accumulative GPA if I moved to another highschool
before junior year? We all know that different highschool have different systems for GPAs
and I wonder how they would handle it. In addition, is the class decile an overall accumulative GPA from freshman year to the first semester of senior year? If so, I wonder how my class decile will be calculated.
Last but not least, my freshman GPA a only 3.60 and sophomore GPA a a 3.98, therefore the accumulative GPA seems to be held back down severely due to my freshman year. How would the college view this situation?
THANK YOU :)

Upward trends are looked at as a good thing by colleges dont worry about that. I don’t know how your school will treat the transfered grades though.

They would view this as a very positive upward trend and if you can come close to maintaining it, this will really help. Some schools don’t even look at Freshman year grades.

bumpity bump

You can submit transcripts from both your high schools when you apply to colleges. Your GPA is just a self-reported number that isn’t very important because it’s the actual transcripts that colleges look at. You rank at your seniour year high school is the one that college will consider, but when you’ve changed schools along the way they will also look closely at how you performed in the other school.
