I have a friend who is looking to go to Davis. First, I’ve heard that getting into engineering as a girl is a little bit easier. How true is this and it will still be more difficult into getting into Psychology (Impacted and mostly women), correct?

Her first choice is psychology then an alternate of engineering/biology. If she did not get admitted into psychology, would be have a chance at engineering or biology? Is having engineering as an alternate going to make it harder to get into vs. having it as her primary?
