Stats of those who were admitted!? Anyone with a 1980 SAT and 3.7 gpa get accepted?

I just want to compare my chances with those who have already been accepted. I have already applied but waiting on the decisions is killing me!!! So yeah, if any of you can offer me some advice on how well my chances are that’d be great!

Hey! Dont freak out or lose hope! And keep in mind that it is more than GPA and SAT’s. I had a 3.2 GPA and the same SAT scores, but with stellar essays, extracurriculars, and SAT II’s, I’m here at Davis right now :)

Im ELC (top 4% of graduating class) and was accepted by UC Davis. I had a 1900 SAT highest composite, Act:30. SAT 2: 760 Math, 710 Chemistry. GPA Weighted Cumulative: 4.16. Ok essays, about 60 hours of extracurriculars, some leaderships, clubs, Piano?.

i got accepted with a UC gpa of 3.8 and sat score of 1810 ~

I got accepted with a 3.43 and a sat of 1860, sat2 math 700, and sat2 lit 630, 0 extra extracurriculars. Really depends on your major.

It depends on your major…sooo with what major are you most likely to get in with?

well I applied to the genetics major… ugh I should’ve put undecided! I’m totally regretting not putting undecided. Does Davis admit by major only?

which majors are the least popular ones? like the easiest to get into?

This may be irrelevant since it was a while ago but I was admitted into Davis in '06 with 1710 SAT and 3.2/4 into computer science engineer.

I was waitlisted last year with a 3.91 and a 1830 SAT.

I know a lot of people who were waitlisted at Davis, oh man. When did decisions come out? It’s march already and I have only heard back from Riverside!! And I know Irvine admits by waves, so do they do it by priority students or major?

I think I got that decision in mid-march, but it actually isn’t that bad. When you are waitlisted, you are given the option to write a short essay for them. They say that they only want you to write the essay if you really want to go there, but I preferred Irvine at the time so I didn’t write it. Anyhow, all of my friends who wanted to go to Davis, and wrote the essay, got in. :)

Admitted with a 3.3, 2100 SAT, 750+ SAT IIs. Decent extracurriculars.

3.86 Unweighted GPA, didn’t take any AP, SAT score like 1600, and got accepted…

Your stats are almost identical to mine. I have a 1990 SAT and 3.75 UC GPA. However, one of my EC’s took place at Davis, so that may have been why I got into only Davis when I applied to UCB, UCLA, and UCSD.

3.83 UC GPA
1830 SAT
28 ACT
Good EC’s including ASB and 120+ community service hours
No less than 4 honors courses every year of high school
And I was denied.

Kind of annoying when you find out someone with lower scores got in.
A lot of people say it’s because I’m white, but how accurate is that seriously? It’s hard to believe that the UC deans are that prejudiced.

I know how you feel… : (
And who knows about the waitlists and if anyone will even be admitted off of them…
