<p>I want to go into computer science and applied to the CS college and Information Systems.</p>

<p>I got rejected from CS but wait listed at Information Systems. my question is how similar is IS to CS especially compared to CS programs at other institutions (maryland, case western, north eastern, drexel). Is it a legitimate program or just an afterthought on the campus?</p>

<p>While I realize my chances on wait list are slim, I want to know what my decision is before I get the call.</p>

<p>IS is like diet CS. It’s similar in terms of job prospects, but about one fifth as difficult. Keep in mind that it’s a tech major within the Humanities school.</p>
