about Penn essay word limit

Hi guys.

I wrote my college essay and it has about 600 words. (And I am pretty sure it exceeds 1 page)

But, if u see the penn application form, it says essays should not exceed more than 1 page.

Then, do I have to make my essay shorter? or is it possible for me to use my essay by changing the word size?

I think it is too vague. What do they mean by 'do not excced more than one page' since they don't specifically mention the font and the word size.

any ideas?

Your essay is 600 words and exceeds one page. If you like your essay and don't want to cut it, make the margains one inch (I do this for any assignment I type - application or school). I believe 600 words is reasonable. It is not your fault if their directions are vague. In fact, I think they may be purposely vague to allow us, the applicants, more flexibility.

600 words easily fits on one page, single-spaced ;-)
