Just a question about the SAT subject tests:
Cornell-along with the other Ivies-only requires 2 SAT subject test scores, which is how many I have right now (USH 790, Math II 790).
I know these won't make you or break you, but it appears that most applicants have more than two SAT2 scores. Should I take more, or is 2 enough?
Thanks!

I don’t think it will make any difference in chances for admission.

I think 2 is plenty. The only reason you should take additional ones would be if you needed a specific one (say, a science or a language) for a particular program of interest. Many engineering programs want a science, for example.

Don’t take another one unless you REALLY want to!

Thanks! But is there a reason why a lot of CCers take four or more? Does it show a candidate’s well-roundedness?

I took my subject tests based on my college’s requirements/suggestions. Typically, there are categories that you can use a specific set of exams to fulfill anyway.

I lot of people have 3 because you can take 3 at once. More than that is almost always unnecessary and I doubt colleges care about them, though I guess sometimes they might fill a gap by showing an ability in a subject not studied in HS.
